Hello world!

November 20, 2007

It all started as a dinner conversation over the traditional Thanksgiving feast.  I’m not sure if the idea came from our hunger for the food or the word hunger itself?  Who knows?  All I know is that our conversations lead into the topic about famished real estate professionals.  The industry was seemingly starved for a neutral space for good home cooking or in this case, good information.  Thanksgiving is filled with a wide spectrum of feel-good food and food that’s simply good for you.  Take turkey for example, a lean meat, often recommended as a staple in the bodybuilders’ diet.  On the other hand you have mashed potatoes, gravy, candied yams, and all the other guilty pleasure, side dishes.  Nothing a dietician would recommend, but definitely appropriate and a vital part of the holiday menu.  Where did we go from here and how does it tie back into the idea?  Well, the real estate industry seemed to be missing a voice, a platform, a space that represented both, the right-wing, lean turkey meat stuff, and the left-wing, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing stuff.  A new idea was born, OnTheMe.nu!  I’m not sure what will happen from here, but hey, it’s your space now and all comments, bloggers, comers and goers are welcome.  Bon Appétit!

Oh, and for the record, I am a mortgage/real estate/staffing/dotcom professional with some free time on my hands.  However, this is all about you, your real estate industry, and what makes it tick; designed to be a safe haven and hodge-podge of intellectual and opinionated ingredients that needs to be expressed ontheme.nu!
